Sinking Ship y Nickelodeon fueron los más galardonados en los Kidscreen Awards 2019 durante la noche del 12 de febrero, ganando siete y cinco premios respectivamente en el evento anual que premia trabajos dirigidos a un público infantil en producción, transmisión y medios digitales.
Celebrada durante Kidscreen Summit en Miami, la ceremonia fue presentada por el actor y cómico Craig Lauzon y patrocinada exclusivamente por Canada Media Fund.
Los siete premios de Sinking Ship incluyeron Preschool Best in Class, Best Non-Animated or Mixed Preschool Series y Best Acting para Dino Dana, y entre las cinco victorias de Nickelodeon, tres fueron particularmente significativas: Best Writing, Best Voice Talent y Best Kids One-Off, Special or TV Movie para Bob Esponja. Fue PBS KIDS el que ganó el codiciado premio Channel of the Year, empatando con Netflix en el número de trofeos en cuatro. El príncipe dragón y Robot 7723, de la cadena, ganaron cada uno un par de premios.
